Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Grenache based wine from Gigondas is Exceptional, especially given the price. It opens with wet stone and black raspberry bouquet with hints of smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, refined, round, seamless, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a spiced plum, stony minerality and tea blend with notes of pomegranate and black pepper. The finish is dry and its refined tannins drift away nicely.
