Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape from Domaine Tour Saint Michael was one of my favorite 2011 CDP's. It is not a cellar dweller; it is made to be consumed soon. It opens with a pleasant plum and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, extremely smooth, and balanced. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and gentle black cherry blend with a hint of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins drift away nicely. This CDP is so refined and ready to go. I would serve it with a filet mignon soon. Enjoy – Ken
