Wine Review: This dark red colored Grenache based blend from Cotes du Rhone is very good! It opens with a strawberry and blood orange bouquet with a hint of red currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced red plum and pomegranate blend with notes of strawberry and black tea. I also detected hints of black licorice at the very end. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. This very good value wine would pair well with a carnitas burrito and a juicy Angus burger. Enjoy - Ken
