Wine Review: This clear and gold colored Chardonnay from Domaine de la Riviere is excellent! It opens with an apricot and pineapple bouquet with hints of dried coconut flakes and peach. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a very tasty pineapple and oak blend with notes of mild apricot and nectarine. I also detected hints of cashew, honey, and butterscotch. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Chardonnay with lobster bisque drizzled with a splash of sherry. Enjoy - Ken
