Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Claret opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry and oak blend with a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are sticky and linger. This red blend is a great buy and would be perfect with veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Donati Family Vineyard Claret is a wine that showcases the classic characteristics of Cabernet and Merlot. This blend is well-balanced and shows the grace and elegance that can be achieved in an early-drinking red wine. It is a Bordeaux Style Blend with aromas of cherry, cinnamon, and leather, mid palate shows berry fruit qualities finishing with moderate tannin and low acid. This wine goes with everything, including itself!
