Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Donelan opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild strawberry licorice and black plum blend with hints of minerality and a touch of red cherry and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with grilled salmon steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: As the Two Brothers Pinot evolves in our portfolio, so does our approach. We like to create the blend like a director composes a scene – by evaluating it from every angle. This pinot represents a confluence of influence – the interaction of multiple sites, subsections of blocks, whole-cluster inclusion, and new French oak. As with previous vintages, the 2012 expresses a dynamic juxtaposition of red fruits and forest fruits, alongside nutmeg and cedar. Paired with food, each of these is highlighted in its own way, and are together balanced with baking spice, fine tannin, and freshness.
