Wine Review: This ruby red colored Nero d'Avola is a very good mid-week red wine. It opens with a fragrant cranberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is an oak and mineral influenced black plum with notes of cranberry and a hint of black raspberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are rather sticky and linger for a while. This Nero d'Avola is food friendly and would pair nicely with rosemary braised lamb shanks. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Brilliant ruby red with purple hues, Sherazade 2015 is characterized by a pleasantly fruity bouquet with aromas of strawberries and blackberries, combined with flowery scents of violets. The entry on the palate is full and fleshy, with mulberry and sour cherry notes, pleasantly refreshed by acidic verve. A fragrant red, soft tannins, perfect to sip from the glass. Enjoy with 3-4 years. We suggest it with fish soup, pizza or classic tomato spaghetti. Serve it in goblets and share with friends.
