Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc opens with a graphite and red currant bouquet with a hint of red raspberry and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with well restrained medium acidity. It is nicely balanced and is juicy. The flavor profile is a red currant and red plum blend with notes of gentle oak and mild graphite. I also detected some hints of red licoricey, clove and a hint of sautéed mild red bell pepper in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab Franc would pair well with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy - Ken
