Wine Review: This very pale straw colored Kabinett level Riesling from Dr. Loosen did well with the Tasting Panel. It opens with a lime and kiwi bouquet with hints of wet stone and apricot. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with zesty acidity and some sweetness. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced lime zest with notes of ginger. We also detected hints of green tea, pineapple and honey. The finish is slightly sweet, and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. Some thought this could be enjoyed on its own. Others suggested pairing it with broiled scallops or an apricot glazed pork roast. Either way, it is easy to enjoy this very nice Riesling. - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Ürziger Würzgarten produces wines of a completely unique nature. The wines show the typically juicy and exotic fruit of the "spice garden" vineyard, with a rich mouth feel, a spicy acid tingle and lingering finish. Kabinett is the lightest, most delicate style of Riesling in Germany, produced from the earliest harvested grapes
