Wine Review: This clear and very pale straw colored dry-styled Riesling from Dr. Loosen opens with an apple blossom and gentle lemon verbena bouquet with hints of white grapefruit, lime zest, and jasmine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is very smooth, zesty, fresh, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is quince and tart white grapefruit blend with notes of lemon verbena and green tea. We also detected hints of ginger, lime zest, and a dash of white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. You could certainly sip this very nice Riesling on its own. With food, we would pair it with broiled scallops or with Brabander Reserve (formerly Black Betty) gouda cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP
