Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Drew is a fruit bomb. It will appeal to readers who like over the top big boy wines. It opens with a wicked strong pomegranate seed and cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and super fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe and extracted pomegranate and plum blend with notes of mild minerality. I also detected hints of craisin and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely over time. I would definitely decant and swirl this Pinot a lot before serving it. It settles down nicely. I would pair it with crispy pan roasted duck with strawberry-rhubarb chutney. Enjoy - Ken
