Wine Review: This pale purple colored Zinfandel opens with a boysenberry and stewed red plum bouquet with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. We found it to be balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a graphite influenced tart mild plum with notes of oak. We also detected hints of nutmeg, mushroom, cherry and tea. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. The Panel would pair this Zin with grilled steak tips, grilled sausage, peppers and onions or a carnitas burrito. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Heritage Vines Zinfandel is delicious and beautifully balanced. This vintage presents enticing aromatics of boysenberry, cranberry and plum with hints of coriander, cardamom and dark chocolate. On the palate, brambly flavors of blackberry and black cherry come forward. The wine is complex, with bright acidity complimented by deeper notes of cumin, black pepper and white pepper. The tannins are silky and smooth to lend a round, rich mouthfeel. From start to finish, this remarkable wine offers refreshing acidity paired with excellent structure.
