Wine Review: This slightly hazy and ruby colored Merlot based blend from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with a mild craisin and red raspberry bouquet with hints of fruitcake. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and seamless. The flavor profile is a oak influenced black cherry and stone dust blend with notes of tobacco and coffee. I also detected hints of black plum and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Merlot blend with Stuart's steak treats. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: SeaQuelle is the newest chapter in our Bordeaux-inspired story. A Right Bank-style Meritage that places Merlot at center stage. Aromas of berry pie, cranberry sauce, black tea, violet, chocolate ganache and damp earth rise from the glass. The palate opens with blackberry, boysenberry and spiced plum, leading to layers of black cherry, clove, cocoa powder, and graphite. Touches of fine leather and cinnamon add depth, carrying through to a long finish. The mouthfeel is soft at the mid-palate, and well-structured with fine, supple tannins.
