Wine Review: This translucent and pale hay colored Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with a gooseberry and white grapefruit bouquet with hints of passionfruit, ash, and a touch of yellow bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, vibrant, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild grapefruit and lime blend with notes of ginger and peas. I also detected hints of celery, saline, and white pepper in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely before drifting away. I would quaff this easy to drink Sauvignon Blanc at the beach this summer. In expressing the Dry Creek Valley’s unique terroir, the 2024 vintage opens with bright aromas of lemon blossom, passionfruit, pineapple-guava, kiwi, and jasmine. On the palate, vibrant notes of tart pineapple, lemon gelato, tangerine, and grapefruit are balanced by hints of white pepper and citrus pith. It is a wine of depth with layers of complex aromas, flavors, and textures, while remaining fresh and bright with brisk acidity.
