Wine Review: This opaque and very dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Duckhorn opens with a toasted coconut and black cherry bouquet with hints of lilac and new shoe leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty cassis and mild mineral blend with notes of black plum. We also detected hints of spice, vanilla and faint oak mixed in. The finish is slightly warm and dry. Its soft refined tannins are very nicely extended. The Panel suggested pairing this very good Cab with a filet mignon or a butterflied grilled leg of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2016 vintage has produced a dazzling expression of Three Palms Vineyard Cabernet that is as complex and as it is delicious. Head-turning aromas of blackberry, blueberry, wet rock and burnt sugar immediately engage the senses. Though it is round and full-bodied on the palate, the flavors are vibrant and pure, with layers of wild strawberry, cranberry and ripe black plum all framed by firm tannins that add density to a long, mineral-driven finish.
