Wine Review: This medium purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Duckhorn is Excellent! It opens with a black currant and blueberry bouquet with hints of baking spices, loam, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a blend of gentle crushed stone, cassis, and blackberry with notes of green tea, mild black cherry, and oak. We also detected a hint of blueberry mixed in. The finish is dry, and its refined medium tannins linger and last for an extended period of time. The Tasting Panel would pair classy and well-made Cab with a Chateaubriand. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This luscious wine beckons with beautiful aromas of blackberry jam, blueberry, cinnamon, and huckleberry pie, intermingled with sweet doughy notes and hints of vanilla, black licorice, and holiday baking spices. On the velvety palate, the flavors are both opulent and inviting, with ultra-fine tannins and playful acidity framing the luxurious fruit and carrying the wine to a lingering finish with sweet and savory notes of dried sage, tobacco leaf and Mexican chocolate.
