Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Duncan Peak opens with a cranberry and cassis bouquet with hints of teaberry and cherry-vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, slightly viscous and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry, spice, and macerated black cherry blend with notes of licorice and cassis. I also detected hints of vanilla, black plum, and graphite. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and refined managed tannins linger nicely before drifting away. There is a little heat on the end, but it does not distract. It also benefited from some aeration. After a nice decant, this Cabernet Sauvignon was enjoyed this with my grilled Alpine Butcher's marinated steakhouse steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
