Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from the Petaluma Gap opens with an attractive bouquet featuring gentle red plum and mild raspberry with some hints of vanilla and forest floor. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is also balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of strawberry licorice and cranberry along with notes of integrated fine grained minerality. I also detected some hints of red plum, blood orange and a touch of vanilla and oak mixed in. The finish is dry and its fruit and gentle tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair nicely with grilled pork chops with caramelized peaches and basil. Enjoy – Ken, Dave and Julie

Winemaker Notes: This offering is particularly luscious in the nose, overflowing with s perfume of sweet raspberries in the summer sun and strawberry compote. The mouth is lithe and bright, with red cherry, fresh cranberry, and pomegranate. Baking spice notes of cinnamon and allspice provide a refined frame to the fruit. Cherry pie continues through the lively and energetic.
