Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Fox Den Vineyards opens with a very inviting black raspberry bouquet with hints of craisin, pomegranate and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, very smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red raspberry and cola blend with hints of cinnamon and red plum. There is nice fine minerality throughout. The finish is dry and flavors and nicely integrated acidity show nice length. This Pinot would pair well with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: In the nose, a mix of red fruits burst into the lead, with sweet raspberry and strawberry interlaced with baking spices. The mouth has a wonderful sweet/tart interplay, dancing from Bing cherry to dried cranberry to alpine strawberry, garnished by cinnamon and nutmeg. The extra bit of weight gives it an especially lengthy finish. Pair with dishes like duck confit, sweetbreads, or seared tuna.
