Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Zinfandel from Mendocino is a good value option. It opens with a faint red plum bouquet with hints of red berries. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle plum with hints of cherry-cola and touch of oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins drift away nicely. The panel unanimously thought this would be a perfect Zin to have with your favorite wood-grilled pizza. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Mendocino Zinfandel expresses aromas of fresh cherries, blueberries, and plums. Generous fruit characters transition to notes of leather, tilled earth, and sweet tobacco leaf. Hints of smoke, vanilla bean, and pie crust accentuate a long finish.
