Wine Review: This hazy and deep ruby colored Pinot Noir from Eleven Eleven opens with a dried coconut and hazelnut bouquet with hints of coffee, black cherry compote, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium-plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, rich, and zesty. The flavor profile is a drunken cherry and roasted black plum blend with notes of black tea, chocolate, and hazelnut. We also detected hints of fig, five spice, coconut, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its light dusty tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot Noir with duck confit or with smokey pork spareribs. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
