Wine Review: This medium purple colored Pinot Noir from Elk Cove is very good. It opens with a wild strawberry, blueberry, and clove bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft and quite smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty strawberry and clove blend with notes of cinnamon. I also detected hints of raspberry, red cherry and cola. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair well with grilled quail with goji berries and pine nuts. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Dense on the nose with huckleberry jam, cherry blossom, leather and vanilla, the palate is replete with blackberry and Italian plum with a savory, black tea finish.
