Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Elk Cove opens with an attractive cherry-cola bouquet with hints of cranberry, red licorice and lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a crushed stone and black plum blend with notes of earthy mushroom and allspice. We also picked up some hints of cola and oak towards the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with Coq au vin or classic tacos al pastor. Enjoy – Ken & Jeoff

Winemaker Notes: Raspberry and dark cherry lead into woodsy aromas of mushroom, violet and thyme. Full and very fruit-forward, the wine finishes long with cardamom and warm baking spices.
