Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot from Emmolo opens with a light plum bouquet with hints of smoky oak and a bit nutty. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of oak and cocoa. We also detected hints of cinnamon and fine minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this Merlot with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A deep garnet red, the 2017 vintage features alluring scents of baking chocolate, lush cherry, lavender and sweet herbs. Serious and refined, the nose continues to draw you in with additional notes of toasty oak and anise. The palate is mouthwatering, echoing the nose with flavors of cherry and creating a sleek coating in the mouth. Tannins are grippy.
