Wine Review: This bright ruby colored red blend opens with an old leather and mild plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, a tad rustic, and savory. The flavor profile is a mild black currant with notes of oak. I also detected a touch of plum and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger slightly. This wine would pair well with a Kobe burger smothered with sauteed mushrooms and Swiss. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Originally conceptualized as a lighter counterpart to our flagship wine, Revelation, which is a very age worthy wine, Gypsy combines approachability with complexity and results in a wine that is meant to be consumed while young. This creates a light, fresh wine that can be enjoyed the day you bring it home. On the nose of our 2008 Gypsy, there are inviting aromas of strawberry, black cherry, dried herbs, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and nutmeg. Cherry, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla and baking spices are the bright flavors found on the palate. The result is a medium bodied blend that surprises you with a nice, long persistent finish. Lighter, approachable and ready to drink now, our 2008 Gypsy will pair beautifully with blackened salmon, ribs, burgers and pork chops.
