Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored wine opens with a mild lime bouquet with just a hint of anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly crisp. The flavor profile is a gentle green apple with a hint of lime and pear. The finish is semi-dry, slightly tingly, and pleasant. If you have never tried Grenache Blanc, this is a nice one to start with. It is very food friendly and would pair perfectly with rainbow trout almondine or Dover sole with lemon – Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: When we first started making this wine back in 2003, Grenache Blanc was virtually unheard of. In fact, 2003 was the first year Grenache Blanc was even recognized as a varietal in the states and Epiphany was among a handful of wineries to produce the first Grenache Blanc bottlings! Though unknown by the consumers, Eli saw the diamond within and started producing a wine that grew to become one of the all-stars in our line up. Grenache Blanc is now our most sought out white wine. Sourced 100% from Camp Four Vineyard, the 2009 vintage was aged 85% in stainless steel tanks to enhance the freshness and bright mineral balance that help bring out the fabulous flavors that this wine has to offer. On the nose, you will find an enriching aroma of white nectarine, apricot, anise and white flowers which pairs perfectly with the elegant finishing flavors on the palate of nectarine, white peach, grapefruit, apricot and Asian pear. Served slightly chilled, the 2009 Grenache Blanc would make an excellent accompaniment to soft cheeses, scallops, and Dover sole.
