Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville opens with a graphite, black currant, black raspberry and cedar bouquet with faint hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. It is also balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a graphite influenced Bing cherry and black currant blend with notes of green olive and cedar plank. We also detected hints of cinnamon and clove. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Panel felt this wine was a bit young and should be revisited on 2 years. We would pair this delicate Cab with Osso buco. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Right up front, this wine is vibrant, aromatic, and fruit forward, with wonderfully soft, silky tannins, and a bright acidity. Layers of ripe black currant, cardamom, black cherry and chocolate co-mingle, showing a great breadth of spice and savory influences throughout. Nicely balanced acidity holds steady through this tightly woven, earthy, classically complex Coombsville Cab, supporting a long lingering finish.
