Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay from Far Niente opens with a musty apple and faint pineapple bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, slightly acidic and round. The flavor profile is a butterscotch and pear blend with notes of oak, vanilla, and butter cream. There are hints of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango mixed in. The finish is dry, and its rich flavors linger and last for a while. I would pair this Chard with a toasted lobster roll.
