Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from the Anderson Valley is very good. It opens with a mild honey dew melon bouquet with hints of grapefruit in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic, juicy, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is nicely integrated crushed stone and Bosc pear blend with notes of gentle grapefruit. I also detected some hints of kiwi and lime zest in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine is food friendly and would pair nicely with grilled swordfish with a lemon drizzle. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: On the nose, this wine starts with fresh citrus blossom and jasmine. Hints of citrus enhance the aromas with apricot and honeydew melon. There is an underlying minerality freshness that reminds one of the seaside. On the palate the wine is bright and refreshing with a zingy mineral core. The body is smooth in texture mixing perfectly with the citrus fruit flavors giving the wine a sweet and sour character. kiwi and lime work together with crisp apple and starfruit to build intensity and focus while retaining a leanness in the finish. The focused intensity of this wine keeps the palate refreshed and coming back for more.
