Wine Review: Another very good offering from The Federalist! This time it is their golden straw-colored Chardonnay. This Chardonnay opens with an inviting citrus bouquet of lemon meringue, tangerine and hints of vanilla oak. I enjoyed the full flavor profile of smooth citrus, pear, granny smith apple, caramel and light oak. I also detected hints of cinnamon. This Chardonnay was balanced with mild acidity and a crisp clean finish with a touch of vanilla. I would pair this well priced Mendocino County Chardonnay with bacon pasta carbonara. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: Aromas of lemon, pear and cinnamon. Full-bodied. Hungarian oak mimics French with spicy character and the American rounds it out with a sweeter finish.
