Wine Review: This Chardonnay from Ferrari Carano is a warm golden color. It opens with inviting notes of rich buttery oak and toasted marshmallow on the nose. On the palate, it is medium plus bodied and well-balanced. Its flavors feature oak and butter with some white grapefruit pith and a hint of pear. There is also some bright acidity which balances the richness nicely. This is a very pleasant and easy to drink Chard. It finishes with some gentle minerality that lingers nicely. We feel that this Chard is nice on its own or it could easily be paired with a baked seafood casserole topped with browned buttered breadcrumbs. – Karen & Stuart

Winemaker Notes: This is a delicious, full-bodied Chardonnay with aromas and flavors of citrus, green apple, creamy marshmallow, peach, pear, caramel, brown sugar and spice. Tre Terre is a wine with bright fruit, nice acidity and a long, lingering finish. This wine's rich fruit component complements mildly-spiced vegetarian dishes and rich, creamy shellfish entrees.
