Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah based blend from Fess Parker opens with a blueberry and oak bouquet with hints of black plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and rich. The flavor profile is blend of concentrated black raspberry and oak with notes of menthol and blackberry. I also detected hints of black tea, cassis, and black pepper. The finish is very dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins are very nicely extended. This crowd-pleasing red blend is drinking really well right now. I would pair it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This well-structured blend has the same characteristics you have come to expect from The Big Easy, rich dark fruit flavors with a touch of oak, and soft tannins that lead to a long lengthy finish.
