Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Chardonnay from the Platt Vineyard is terrific. It opens with a pear bouquet with hints of oak, herbs and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty Anjou pear and lemon verbena blend with notes of nicely integrated vanilla oak. We also detected hints of pineapple and faint minerality. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. We would pair this impressive Chard with baked stuffed lobster. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This wine will age, like a great white Burgundy, for a decade or more. This is another masterful effort from what, I believe, is the greatest site for Chardonnay in California.
