Wine Review: This medium purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black plum and cranberry bouquet with hints of red currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. It is bright and fresh for a Cab. The flavor profile is a red currant and pomegranate blend with notes of black tea and black olive. We also detected hints of graphite, cedar and Baker's chocolate mixed in. The finish is dry and its fine dusty tannins drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Cab with a pork tenderloin with a pomegranate sauce or with veal saltimbocca with prosciutto and sage. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Flanagan Cabernet has classic Cabernet notes of cedar, violets, and Christmas spices. The palate has red and black currant, bay leaf, and tobacco. As always, the wine has a surprising amount of tannin structure for New World Cabernet. All of our Cabernet comes from hillside sites and the small berries produced from the steep, volcanic sites give the wine great color and concentration.
