Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and straw-colored Chardonnay made from exclusively old vines opens with a floral, peach and pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, clean and juicy. The flavor profile is white peach and pineapple blend with hints of minerality, banana and lemon. The finish is dry and flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This unique Chard still needs a little aging. We would suggest sitting on it for a bit and eventually pairing it with a roasted garlic chicken or Dover sole. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Ritchie Chardonnay has a very expressive nose of jasmine, slate, and orange blossom. The palate is dominated by stone fruits like apricot and fresh peach and has a nice lemon panna cotta note. The oak is nicely integrated and the minerality provides a lovely lift. Ritchie has the broadest fruit profile of all our Chardonnays and benefits most from aging in a higher percentage of new and once used barrels. This is terrific wine from one of Sonoma County’s top sites for Chardonnay and will age beautifully for years.
