Wine Review: This medium gold colored Viognier opens with a faint honeysuckle, lychee and peach bouquet with hints of orange rind and vanilla frosting. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. It is also balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is mild mango and clementine blend with notes of apricot and butter rum candy. We also detected some hints of oak and white tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this very good Viognier with Point Reyes Toma Cheese, Filho's Linguini Misto (wild shrimp, grilled chicken, hot Italian sausages, garlic butter, white wine, marinara, Romano cheese) or bouillabaisse.
