Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Cortese opens with a Meyer lemon and ripe honeydew melon bouquet with a hint of crushed seashells. This wine is light bodied with medium plus acidity. It is bright and juicy. The flavor profile is a lemon verbena and chamomile tea blend with notes of toasted almond and green apple. I also detected a hint of crushed stone minerality and touch of ginger in the after taste. The finish is dry, and it fades away nicely. This Gavi would pair well with linguini with a white wine clam sauce or with a French pâté sampler. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This is a white wine with personality, which resolutely defends its characteristics against the perils of time, allowing it to maintain the highest quality for several seasons. Straw-yellow with greenish highlights, it has an ample nose, with an intense bouquet featuring flowers, vanilla, lemon, lily of the valley and bitter apples. Its nicely dry taste is full, well-balanced, and elegant. Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif, it is its very best served with starters and fish and shellfish dishes. It’s the perfect summer wine, but its gastronomic pairings know no seasonal limits.
