Wine Review: The medium gold colored wine from the Dao region of Portugal is very good. It opens with a lemon zest and ginger bouquet with hints of light melon and grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile, like the nose features mild lemon verbena and ginger with notes of honeycomb, green apple and chamomile tea. There are also hints of minerality and a touch of yellow grapefruit towards the end. The finish is pleasant, dry and refreshing. We would pair this very good value Portugal white wine with baked cod coated with Ritz crackers or panko and parmesan-crusted baked scallops. Enjoy - Ken and Joe
Winemaker Notes: Green color, very aromatic where apple, pear and tropical fruit stand out. On the palate, the wine is fresh with pleasant minerality, with white and yellow fruit, good structure, and volume. The finish is persistent and fresh. Goes well as a starter with seafood and grilled fish.
