Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Franciscan is very good. It opens with a grapefruit bouquet with hints of rose and tangerine. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, rather acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused yellow grapefruit with notes of tangerine. I also detected hints of white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a long time. This very flavorful Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with Bobby Flay’s grilled swordfish skewers with coconut, key lime and green chile sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Pale straw, with aromas of lime, grapefruit peel, and lychee, and notes of honeysuckle and lemongrass. Very aromatic and inviting. Bright, round flavors bursting with fresh fruit, juicy lime, lychee, and Meyer lemon. Clean mouthfeel with refreshing minerality and a long finish of lime zest, vanilla, and grapefruit.
