Wine Review: This midnight purple colored “Chianti Classico Riserva” opens with a cherry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of cedar and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a mild blueberry and red cherry blend with notes of stone dust and cedar. I also detected hints of herbs and red plum. The finish is dry, and its acidity, flavors, and moderate refined tannins linger and drift away nicely. This Chianti Classico Riserva would pair very nicely with veal parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
