Wine Review: This vibrant Chardonnay from Tuscany, Italy is a medium golden yellow color, with a very fragrant bouquet of ripe pear, buttercream, oak, orange blossom with hints of white peach, chamomile, and nutmeg. On the palate, it has a round and slightly creamy mouthfeel with bright medium acidity. It is medium bodied, balanced, tangy, and fresh. There are flavors of nectarine, stony minerality, lemon-lime, and gentle oak with notes of vanilla creme, beeswax and hazelnut. There is a slight hint of chewy tannin in the refreshing, very long finish. Pair with creamy scallop risotto. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Elegance, expressiveness, and body. The 2021 Benefizio is a wonderful straw-yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet is complex, combining hints of white fruit like pear with notes of exotic fruit such as mango, banana and pineapple, and even citrus notes of candied peel. The citrus edge is underscored by hints of orange blossom. On the palate, it is sapid and mineral, with an elegant and harmonious finish; its aromatic intensity on the palate is enhanced by the alcohol content and the aftertaste of dried fruit. A long and persistent finish.
