Wine Review: This clear and deep red colored Sangiovese from Frescobaldi opens with a dried sage and shy cherry bouquet with hints of dried wood. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a primarily red plum with notes of stone dust and tart red cherry. We also detected hints of lingonberry and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium dusty tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Sangiovese with eggplant parmigiana. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 is a beautiful, Vibrant ruby-red color. On the nose, it is fruity, with notes of sour cherry, as well as red and black berries more generally, accompanied by splendid floral aromas typical of the flagship variety. It concludes on the nose with elegant spicy notes of black pepper and clove. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with noticeable tannins that refine with time. It offers a fine balance between taste and aroma.
