Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Fritz Haag opens with a matchstick, green apple, and saline bouquet with a hint of gardenia. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright, zippy, and fresh. The flavor profile is stony minerality, dried pineapple and lime blend with hints of saline and green apple with a touch of sugared grapefruit. The finish is off-dry and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would pair this Riesling with almond macaroon cookies. Enjoy – KWGTP
