Wine Review: This clear and very pale straw-colored Riesling from Fritz Haag is impressive. It opens with a pleasant floral peonies and gentle lime bouquet with hints of green tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, bright, and zesty. The flavor profile is a pleasantly sweet blend of lemon-lime and ginger with notes of lychee and tonic water. I also detected hints of white pepper. On the finish, its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Riesling with Pam’s macaroon cookies. Enjoy - Ken
