Wine Review: This clear and platinum colored Spätlese level Riesling from Fritz Haag is Excellent! It opens with a faint apricot and lime bouquet with hints of wet stone and papaya. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, refined, delicate and graceful. The flavor profile is gentle candied ginger and lime blend with notes of apricot and orange peel. We also detected hints of white peach, passion fruit, and almond cookie. The finish is mildly sweet and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would drink this Riesling on its own for dessert. It will not last long. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A highly aromatic, late-picked Riesling with an intensely elegant mineral structure balancing moderate sweetness. The Juffer vineyard surrounds the smaller Juffer Sonnenuhr on three sides and produces a somewhat lighter, more delicate style of wine. The late-picked Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spätlese has fine, forceful fruit in the aroma, a linear focus on the palate and a pure slate finish.
