Wine Review: This pitch black colored Pinot from the Gap's Crown Vineyard opens with a fragrant ripe boysenberry bouquet with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is an extracted black raspberry and minerality blend with notes of black plum. I also detected hints cedar and black cherry towards the end. The finish is dry and shows nice length for a Pinot. I would pair this Pinot with a roasted pork tenderloin with a fig, prosciutto and sage butter stuffing. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep dark purple hues. Earth, desert sage, spice, anise and berry compote on the nose. Blackberries, spice, and earth on the palate. Full bodied with excellent acid and tannin balance. Long intense finish. A bold and vibrant wine.
