Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Barbera is very good. It opens with a blackberry and oak bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black licorice and blackberry with notes of oak with a hint of black olive. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins fade away nicely. This Barbera paired nicely with my Tagliatelle Bolognese at Babbo in Boston. Enjoy – Ken
