Wine Review: This dark ruby red wine opens with an attractive musty ripe black raspberry bouquet with oak and hints of black cherry and black licorice. This full-bodied wine is smooth, slightly dry and jammy. The flavor profile is black cherry and plum with notes of vanilla, spice and herbs. The tannins are well-balanced and even. The finish, while slightly short, was enjoyable with hints of black tea. I would pair this reasonably priced Montepulciano with mushroom beef Bolognese. - Joe
