Wine Review: This medium purple colored Pinot Noir from the “Fort Ross Vineyard” opens with a red raspberry and earthy mushroom bouquet with hints of strawberry and rose petals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, round and very juicy. The flavor profile is a red plum and strawberry blend with notes of clove, cinnamon, earthy mushroom and gentle oak. We also detected hints of red raspberry tea towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors and fine-grained tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this quaffable Pinot with a grilled pork tenderloin with white truffle oil, shiitake mushrooms and blue cheese sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Savory earth tones permeate from the glass at first swirl. Aromas of eucalyptus, mint, black olives, and green tea invite further exploration. An essence of dried strawberries and figs leads the way to a collection of wild raspberries and cherry jam. The palate is delightfully pure and vibrant, with an exceptional array of textures and complex flavors that are a hallmark of Sonoma Coast fruit.
