Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Gary Farrell is very good. It opens with a lemon-lime and jasmine bouquet with hints of pineapple, flint, and oak. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, delicate, fresh, and graceful. The flavor profile is gentle Anjou pear and saline blend with notes of faint lime and pineapple. We also detected hints of white tea, tangerine, and vanilla bean flan. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Chard with a baked stuffed Dover sole or with an herb roasted chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Vibrant notes of lemongrass, crushed Kaffir lime leaves, and honeysuckle introduce this offering from the renowned Ritchie vineyard. Candied lemon peel and shortbread cookies mingle with hints of tarragon and dried wildflowers. The palate is focused and bright, with a flinty, mineral-laden backbone contributing to a remarkably long, zesty finish.
